This workshop is for anyone would like to familiarize themselves with the expressive qualities inherent to charcoal. The first part of the day will be dedicated to exploring the full range of the charcoal family, the use of the stump and the kneaded eraser. With this simple and versatile tool, we will learn to transpose both its exceptionally soft qualities and its powerful, deep blacks. From a still life, we will put in practice and integrate what charcoal can offer us. We will take a brief moment to look at artists who have privileged this medium.
