Students are invited to explore the role of language and narrative in the painting process. They will come up with a statement that will form the foundation for a series of three works of art. This approach of working in a series from a theme or idea can enable the artist to recognize the progression of an original concept within the context of three paintings, in order to understand a relationship between art and language. It is advisable for the student to have an idea of the concept or statement for first session if possible.
