A variety of experiments will be assigned dealing with composition, concept and technique to familiarize the students with the fundamentals that go into planning a painting. Students will explore wash and glaze techniques, brush and texture exercises as well as colour mixing and composition.
This 4 week session is designed to provide students with the means to sharpen their perception and to develop a personal vision by exploring a range of ideas that cover a wide spectrum of approaches in painting using watercolour as a medium.
The aim is to lay a solid foundation for further study. Demonstrations involving techniques and materials as well as group evaluation and short discussion periods will take place regularly to allow students to get a sense of their own progress. Beginners welcome.
