Gotie • Friday, April 14th • 8 PM

Gotié was born in Hull, Qc close to Ottawa, the nations capital. He grew up in Pointe-Gatineau and eventually Ottawa where he attended a theatre program in high school. Dropping out before obtaining a diploma he spent much of his time at local concert halls and attended shows featuring all types of music. By the end of the 80’s he’s was street musician on Ottawa’s Byward Market surrounded by many talented musicians who fed his passion for music. Eventually he formed a band with other street musicians and gets involved with live sound production. At he end of 90’s he began a career in IT and started a family.  He eventually gets back to music around 2007. This new foray into the world of music is mostly as a singer/songwriter. He writes  in both in French and English performing mostly on acoustic guitar. Gotié plays mostly cafés and cultural events. He currently lives close to the Eastern Townships by the Yamaska river with his Daughter.
