The Montreal Art Centre celebrates our city’s finest talent with performing artist’s concerts on the 1st Friday of every Month.
We invite you to a special evening on Friday February 3rd, for a performance by Gustavo Zecharies, bassist, warr guitarist and Composer. You will enjoy our private members club with our intimate bar and lounge, which is open for pre-show and after show cocktails.
Gustavo was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, and as most of the kids of his generation studied piano between the ages of 6 and 11. In 1986 he began his incursion into electric guitar studies. From the late 80’s Gustavo played with several groups, always moving through different musical style phases, from Jazz Rock, to Funk, Latin and Progressive music.
Since 2011 he picked up the 6-String bass and has developed a unique and exceptional technique, which turned this instrument, often relegated to the rhythmic section, into a warm and lovely voice which connects immediately with the audience. He released his first book (“Useful Melodic Patterns for Bass Guitar”) in 2016.
