The Montreal Art Centre is pleased to offer several options for event rentals. Our historic building encompasses over 15,000 square feet that include two art galleries providing a truly unique and colorful ambiance for your event.
We can accommodate up to 150 guests for any type of corporate or private celebration, such as cocktail-style receptions, graduations, birthday parties, anniversaries, product and book launches, wine tastings, etc.
For your sit-down affairs, our capacity is approximately 60 guests.

All renters must purchase all DRINKS from the Montreal Art Centre. We operate a cash bar with payment by cash, or credit card. Wine is available by the glass or the bottle, and a renter can buy a maximum of 8 bottles of wine (either white or red) from us, should they want to offer free wine to their guests; after which all drinks must be purchased at our bar. We also sell beer by the bottle and liquor by the individual drink, only.
We have a bar permit from Thursdays to Sundays; an additional fee of $85 will be charged to a renter should they book any event to take place on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, and require alcohol/a bar.

Weekday rate (Monday to Thursday) $520 + tax
Weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) $460 + tax
Weekday (Monday to Thursday) rate $365 + tax

For all the rentals after 12 midnight: $100 + tax per additional hour (pre-approval required)

We suggest reserving the space at least 1 to 2 months in advance. We can host 2 or 3 events per month.
Terms & Conditions: It is necessary to view the space and discuss the type of event you are planning in order to make sure that it is a good fit for our space. After the date has been confirmed, a contract will be created and signed with a 50% down payment to secure the reservation. The remaining amount must be paid one month before the date of the event. A refundable clean-up deposit of $100 will be charged at the time of reservation and reimbursed the day following the event if no additional cleaning service is required.
Please note: all event rental guests may only use the floor rental area of our space designated by the agreement during the event. The galleries at the Montreal Art Centre will most likely have an exhibition up during the event. Please check to see in advance what is scheduled at the gallery for the reservation date. Artists’ working studios A, B, C, D, E & F are not included in the rental however, guests may visit them to view the artwork on display.
