Michelle’s current work combines the use of acrylic and India ink on rice paper encompassing design, watercolour techniques and calligraphy. She
likes the subtlety and texture of the paper, which allows her to play with transparency, colour
and light. It is the search for what is below the surface that inspires and guides her.
Andrew makes original, hand-made stained glasswindows, panels, lamps, frames, sun-catchers and boxes. He believes that glass catches the soul
of the light. He tries to preserve it for you.
Issues of human nature and psyche are central to my work. I explore complexity and multiplicity of emotions and perceptions, contrasts between
appearances and reality, differences between what we are and the image that we project,
always a subject to continuous changes and modifications.
Looking at a painting by Roxanna Kibsey, it is easy torecognize the convincing nature of her compositions – the realistic form, shadows and colour
choices. But, upon closer inspection, masterful blue pallet strokes in the bark of a birch tree or
elaborately detailed backgrounds reveal the effort she has put into developing her craft and
reveal an obviously accomplished painter.
